This time next month I'll be in Israel. I'm officially in the less-than-one-month mode! Every moment passes and it gets more and more difficult to contain my joy.
At this stage, the visa is on its way, airplane ticket's paid for, the few books I need to bring are in my possession, and I'm figuring out my final farewell playdates with my amigos/haverim/etc.
Sidebar: forthcoming cantorial students-----The two items by Spiro that we need are quite difficult to find. I attempted to order them from the publisher, Cantors Assembly, but their website goes caput when you "checkout." I'm making a phone call on Tuesday to find out if I can still order the texts through them. If I have any updates or come across another place to purchase them, I'll let y'all know.
As a nice reminder, anyone interested in postcards should forward me their addresses.
I swear this blog will get more interesting. I mean, if y'all want my daily, boring routines, I'd be more than willing to oblige.
Song title selection: "This is the Moment" is a wonderful song from JEKYLL AND HYDE. It's right before Dr. Jekyll intakes in concoction--a very momentous occasion for him. Hopefully my end will not be like his.
